About Us

Filkins Fotos specializes in sports and other action photos. But we also do so much more. . .

With our newly built photo studio, we have expanded our portrait and senior picture offerings. We cover weddings and offer new, personlized "story-book" wedding day coverage. We also do excellent design work and printing. The design work includes personalized posters, company signage and promotional materials. Contact us for more details about these services.

At events and tournaments, we offer instant viewing and on-site printing of photos. We travel far from our home in the Easter Upper Peninsula of Michigan to cover events. We have shot tournaments as far away as San Francisco, CA and Las Vegas, NV. We have also covered huge events such as the North American Hockey Association's National Championship. We cover large tournaments that include over 200 teams at one weekend event.

We cover indoor and outdoor events. We also have a mobile "Filkins Foto Factory" to set up instantly in any weather condition to provide instant viewing and on-site printing of any event.

How Filkins Fotos Covers an Event or Tournament

Our booth in the lobby includes elevated, flat-panel, color monitors for viewing the slideshows of each game and several other color monitors to show customers individual photos for consideration. Staff members are always available to provide fast and friendly assistance to customers.

Here is how it works. . .

	We take photos of every game and get action shots (many with the puck/ball in view).
	Also anyone can stop by our booth and sign up a player on our "special requests" list, which is free.
	We will get action photos of the player with no obligation or pressure to buy any photos.
	Right after the game, customers can instantly view the photos on the screens. Each game's pictures are available for all the tournament (we don't delete them after each game like other companies), and photos can be ordered after the event, too.
	We also print black-and-white proofs of each game (with six large proofs per page). Customers can quickly find photos from various games from the tournament, and create an order with photos from different games.
	We can show customers individual photos on color monitors to help in the selection process.
	The customer then fills out an order form of the photos they want. They can get 3 4x6 prints of different images, as well as many other options.
	We quickly print the REAL Kodak photos on-site, usually within 15 minutes.
	We never use ink-jet printers. Our posters are printed on acid-free photo paper and are museum-quality prints.
	The customer takes the photos home the same day!
	The only items shipped later (within a week after the customer "Okays" the digital proof) are the huge, personalized posters and individualized, full-color sports cards.

We also offer team and individual photo packages (the whole team must be included) that include an 8x10 with a 5x7 team shot and an individual photo, 2 4x5s, 4 wallets and a personalized button with the player's name and number. Team picture packages will be shipped within a week of the event.
